Sync your hosted email with Gmail

The simple guide to connect your business email account (hosted with QUILLO) and get a full sync of incoming/outgoing emails directly within Gmail.

Please follow this step-by-step guide to get your QUILLO-hosted email address fully integrated with Gmail, so that you can send and receive emails with your own business email address.

Please replace yourname@yourdomain.com with your actual business email address.
Your username is your email address. Your password has been provided to you already. (If you need to request your account or password from support, please click here).
 
  1. Login to Gmail
    1. Go to Settings > Accounts & Import (https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/accounts)

  2. Are you setting-up this email address for the first time within Gmail? If YES, skip #2, GO TO STEP #3
    Otherwise, if you migrating from another email provider to QUILLO hosted email, and already had your business email connected to Gmail (using your previous provider), please DELETE any existing business email accounts on this page.



    1. There will be probably 2 parts to delete (SEND MAIL AS, and CHECK MAIL FROM OTHER ACCOUNTS)
    2. Only once they are both deleted/removed, you can continue to the next step. Your previously received messages will not be deleted from your Gmail account

  3. ADD a new mail account (receiving)



    1. Enter your email address


    2. Tick “Import emails from my other account (POP3)” and NEXT

    3. Enter the following receiving configuration, and tap ADD ACCOUNT


      1. Username: (YOUR FULL EMAIL ADDRESS - example yourname@yourdomain.com)
      2. Password: (YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT PASSWORD)
      3. POP Server: mail.quillo.hosting
      4. Port: 995
      5. Tick "Always use a secure connection (SSL)..."
        The other tickboxes are optional, depending on your preferences.
      6. Success! Now it’s time to add support for SENDING emails also - click NEXT



  4. ADD a new mail account (sending)

    1. Enter your full name (name and surname, or a nickname)
      For full compatibility, please ensure "Treat as an alias" is un-ticked.



    2. Enter the following sending configuration, and tap ADD ACCOUNT




    3. SMTP Server: mail.quillo.hosting
    4. Port: 465
    5. Username: (YOUR FULL EMAIL ADDRESS - example yourname@yourdomain.com)
    6. Password: (YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT PASSWORD)
    7. Tick "Secured connection using SSL (recommended)"
    8. Tap ADD ACCOUNT
    9. Success! You can now close this window, and look for an email from Gmail to verify the right to use this (external) email address.

  2. Verify your email address with Gmail’s system, just open the email and click the link. You now should have your account fully working within Gmail.
